I tried many new products in August, but I’m sharing only the best of my finds for the month in this spotlight post. Let’s jump right in!

Rafra Balm Orange Extra Cleansing

This was an accidental find. Rafra had a promotion stand set up in the store I was browsing, and after talking to the saleslady and having her demonstrate on my hand, I bought the trial pack.

The star product is the Balm Orange Extra Cleansing cleanser, which works as both a makeup remover and cleanser. The most interesting thing about this cleanser is that as you lather it between your hands, it warms up rapidly! Massage onto the face and the heat will help open the pores and cleanse out the dirt.

Essential Night Care Milk & La Sana Hair Essence

I set out to look for hair treatments after the previous disappointment and found this after turning to @cosme (a popular beauty community in Japan). I bought these two at the same time as an experiment to see which worked better (I used each on half my hair) Turns out both were pretty equal in terms of efficacy as both made my hair softer and smoother! Finally, hair products that work!!!

I may post reviews of these two in the near future, along with the experiment results ;)

Atrix Beauty Charge – Peach Tea

Oh gosh. I love love love love LOVE this! Not only does it keep my hands moisturized and soft, it smells like heaven. Really, I could smell this stuff FOREVER. Such a happy accident because I bought this blind without sniff-testing it because there wasn’t an available tester.

Etude House Bling Me Prism Eyes

My first cream eyeshadows and I love how pigmented and easy they are to apply! The holding power is great as well, and all these at an affordable price point! You can read my full review of them here.

Johnson’s Body Care – Extra Care

This moisturizer is UH-MAY-ZING. Seeing results after one use are a bit of an urban legend to me, but this product really went beyond all expectations, and then some! No wonder this ranks #1 on @cosme!

My legs were seeing scaly dry skin (yes, it’s really bad) but this transformed them overnight into soft, supple skin! It sounds crazy, and I probably wouldn’t believe it either had they not been my legs. But it’s real!!! The flakiness is all gone and they are finally looking and feeling moisturized for the first time in a long while! LOVE THIS. Except the scent. It smells like grandma’s talc powder to me. But it’s a tradeoff I’m happy to make for the skin I have now!
